Good Morning Imagine Lakewood Ranch Families,

Happy Friday to everyone. We know many of you are a little bit nervous, concerned and worried about what is to come. Please know we are just as nervous as all of you are. Do not panic, do not stress, we will get through this together. The first week of online schooling will be an interesting adventure and we will be here to support each other as best to our abilities. Be patient and flexible.
Things to remember:

-Our school office hours will be 8:00-3:00.

-When a child is logged in with their imagineschoolslakewoodranch email address, they will be monitored by Go Guardian. This will be whether using our Chromebooks or your home device.

-If you are using our school’s Chromebooks you may NOT download apps, this may only be done by administrators.

-To turn on the Chromebook hold the power button down for a couple of seconds and release.

-When you are on the Google browser on the top left of the screen is a folder (ISLWR) with all of our school links such as Classroom Dojo, Google Classroom, Freckles and much more.

-Mrs. Leisa Arritt, our Curriculum Coach, will be assisting with technology. But please feel free in contacting the teacher first.

Dear Families:
If your child experiences any difficulty logging on to their Google Account, please contact me so I can quickly help solve the problem. Texting is the best, most efficient way for me to respond. Simply give me your child’s first and last name, and grade level, & I can reset their account within minutes. Happy ‘remote learning’!

Good Morning Imagine Lakewood Ranch Families,Happy Tuesday to everyone. I forgot to mention remind that pick up times will be from 9 to 2 on Thursday and Friday.

Please remember that the purpose of lending Chromebooks is to help the families that do not have computers at home. If you already have a computer, your child will be able to use your families’ home computer or laptop. Our Chromebooks are a tool for those who don’t have access to a computer at home.

For those who will be picking up computers, please find two required forms for you to review. There is no need for you to fill these out beforehand. They will be ready and available for you here at school.
Please remember the following:

• The mobile device will be used for ISLWR educational purposes only. It is NOT for personal use, gaming, nor for site seeing that is not related to educational purpose. All of our Chromebooks are will be monitored through theGoGuardian program.

• Student and parent/guardian shall permit persons designated by ISLWR to examine the mobile device computer and its content at any time for any reason, including but not limited to inspection, maintenance, repair, upgrading, and/or software installation.

• Neither the student nor the parent have any right to privacy of any data saved on the mobile device or in any ISLWR network.

• If misuse of our mobile devices take place, you will be contacted and the item must be returned.

• Once Chromebooks are home they need to be connected to your WIFI or mobile hotspot. This is located on the bottom right side.

• To turn it ON you need to hold the power button for a second or two.

• Chromebooks cost if broken, stolen, and/or misuse is $200.00.
PICK UP TIMES are 9:00 am to 2:00 pm on Thursday and Friday of this week.

Please be patient when you come and wait in your cars if there are people already before you. Do not try to rush, remember social distancing is key. I am sending the forms for you to preview today so you don’t have to go through the forms when you come in.

Good afternoon Imagine Lakewood Ranch Families,

We hope everyone is staying safe and healthy during these hard times. I wanted to just keep everyone informed of what is taking place this week.

This week we have our teachers working very hard in transitioning from classroom teachers to online teachers, as so will your children. The most important part is for you not to panic. Please expect an email from your child’s teacher by Monday, March 30th. Communication will be key and together we will get through this.

This Thursday, March 26 and Friday, March 27 the families, who signed up, will be able to come by school to checkout a Chromebook. If you need to checkout a Chromebook and have not let me know yet, please do so by the end of the day today so I can reserve one for you. Thank you to the many of you that have kept us informed. Families will not be allowed in the building, so a station will be set up outside.

Good evening Imagine Lakewood Ranch Families,

As many of you are aware, this evening the Florida Department of Education published a press release announcing additional guidance for the 2019-20 school year.

We understand this has been a tough start to Spring Break and COVID-19 has impacted many lives and the daily routines of our families. While we understand your concerns, we must follow State Guidelines.

This is currently where we stand:
-Students will return to school on April 15th.
-Monday, March 30th your child’s online classes will begin. Instructions, form of delivery, feedback and much more will be provided, once our instructional staff meets next week.
-Thursday, March 26 and Friday, March 27 from 9-2 we will be checking out Chromebooks to our families that need computer devices for home use for online learning.
-Florida State Assessments have been cancelled for the 2019-2020 school year.

As the State gives us more feedback and guidance we will keep everyone informed. If you have any questions or concerns please feel free in contacting us.

As we continue to monitor the novel Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) situation, the safety and continued learning of our school community remain our top priorities. We understand that with the additional week added to Spring Break it is important to keep our students engaged and active in all aspects. To help your students learn and grow without interruption, we are providing you with some free websites to support academic practice. Please see the information below. Remember these tools are not replacing classroom instruction.

In the case school closures would be extended, at Imagine Schools at Lakewood Ranch we are working on an Instructional Continuity Plan. For this reason, please inform us if you DO NOT have access to a computer device at home. This will allow for us to be prepared with the appropriate tools for our students and families if we have to move forward with online courses.

Please note some changes in our calendar for upcoming events:
-Kindergarten Roundup will now be held on Wednesday, April 15th with School Wide Open House, Book Fair Week, Music/STEM/Art Night from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm.
